After numerous trials and efforts
in the design and composition of the playing cards.
I am excited to introduce the new form of Oriental beauty.
The MIRAGE project originated from the desire
to create playing cards filled with Oriental beauty.
Drawing inspiration from East Asian folk paintings,
I transformed traditional materials and costumes,
and patterns into modern designs,
illustrating them on the cards as modern artwork.
Over the course of three years,
I meticulously checked and revised samples,
emphasizing readability and beauty.
I focused on the appropriate thickness of lines and details in my depiction, aiming to achieve a harmonious blend of readability and aesthetics.
The MIRAGE deck consists of 62 cards:
・Jokers: 10 cards
・Court Cards: 12 card
・Aces: 4 cards
・Numbered cards: 36 cards
[Card quality]
・63x88mm
・German Paper "Butterfinish 300gsm."
To prevent the cards from being transparent and visible to the opponent, I have inserted a black core into the paper, and for smoother shuffling, I have adopted an air mesh finish.
A high-quality deck of cards not only provides players with stability
and ease of use but also enhances overall game satisfaction.
[ Court Cards ]
Oriental style illustrations are drawn on every court card.
I drew two girls above and below on each court card to create several views.
Spades: Black bamboo and bird
Clover: Waves and flowers
Diamonds: Wind and chrysanthemum
Hearts: Autumn leaves and butterfly
[Number Cards]
Number cards and suits position to create a flower shape
[Aces]
The artwork on the Aces share the same theme as the court cards of corresponding suits .
Each design has a unique style and Korean dynamic.
I have included 10 extra cards that can be used as special cards while playing.
Because of this, you can play various games with this deck.

The can case is crafted 5mm taller than a typical card case,
designed for easy card storage.

The book size is bigger than the cards themselves so you can see the details of each illustration.
