| Important Notes |
1. To minimize packaging waste, we reuse shipping boxes or packing materials, ensuring your items are securely delivered.
2. All ceramic materials used in our studio are lead-free and fired at temperatures above 1200°C, making them safe and non-toxic for everyday use.
3. Subtle variations in glaze texture are natural during firing. Features like crazing, fine cracks, or pinholes are normal characteristics of handmade ceramics.
4. Product photos are taken in natural light and color-corrected to minimize discrepancies. However, screen settings can affect color perception, so please refer to the actual product.
5. Each piece is handcrafted, resulting in slight variations in size, clay color, and glaze. These differences, influenced by kiln atmosphere and temperature, are part of the unique charm of handmade ceramics. We encourage perfectionists to review product details carefully before purchasing.
| Care and Maintenance |
1. We advise against using ceramic ware in electric steamers, microwaves, ovens, or direct heat. Avoid sudden temperature changes to prevent cracking or damage, unless the item is made from fireclay (heat-resistant clay) specifically designed for such use.
2. For tableware, rinse and clean off any surface dust before the first use. Gentle cleaning with a sponge or soft scrubbing pad and mild dish soap is recommended. Avoid abrasive materials like steel wool, which can scratch the surface. Pat dry with a clean cloth and allow to air dry in a well-ventilated area to prevent mold.
3. Suitable for hot water and food. The glaze may develop fine cracks over time with heating and cooling, which is a normal occurrence. Each use adds to the piece's unique patina, imbuing it with the warmth of your daily life.
4. Matte glazes are more prone to staining from tea or dark foods compared to glossy glazes. Crazed areas may accumulate tea or coffee stains, serving as a record of use. These can be removed using baking soda, citric acid, or magic sponges. To minimize staining, soak the item in water or wash it immediately after use.
5. For any questions or further details, feel free to contact us via message through our platform, or find us on FB and IG by searching "日常陶皿" (Ri Chang Tao She). We will respond as soon as possible.
