JINSUI IROIRO / Tokoname Artisan Teapot - Teapots & Teacups - Porcelain

Product Description

Born from a kiln in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, inheriting its traditions, the JINSUI IROIRO series teapot is a masterpiece combining long history with the essence of modern design. Its texture has a unique roughness that, while delicate, conveys the warmth of the earth, and its subdued colors create a serene atmosphere. This simple yet impactful teapot brings sophisticated beauty to everyday life. One of the unique charms of Tokoname ware teapots is their lightness. Contrary to their substantial appearance, they have a surprisingly light touch and remain easy to handle even when filled with hot water. The handle's curve naturally invites your fingers, and its design minimizes heat transfer for safe use. Furthermore, a technique called "lid grinding" is applied. Artisans meticulously grind the lid multiple times to ensure a perfect fit with the teapot. This airtight lid enhances the teapot's ability to steam the tea leaves thoroughly. It helps maintain the water temperature longer, allowing for a more flavorful brew. The attention to detail in every aspect contributes to the special quality of Tokoname ware teapots, enriching the tea experience. ▲Tokoname: A traditional pottery town in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, famous for its production of teaware. 【Material】 Body: Clay 【Size】 Width:185mm diameter:155mm Height:85mm 【Capacity】 460 ml Smaller teacups: 5 cup Large teacups: 4 cups 【Handling & Maintenance】 ・For regular cleaning, please use only water without detergent.
