(How many crafts will I challenge myself with? Let's find out!) This time, the craft I'm tackling is called "hand-folded flowers." Hand-folded flowers are made by folding and shaping fabric, a craft that has been passed down since the Edo period and is an important decoration in kimono hair accessories. At first, I thought this would be easier compared to the previous series that required weaving or embroidery. However, it turned out to be quite challenging, haha. Since I was starting from scratch, there were many aspects of the process that needed clarification. Even the fabric made a big difference; I initially bought some randomly, not knowing better, and it was extremely difficult to work with. But I powered through and eventually made something. This attempt also differs from the other series in that I created based on the concept of flower clusters, rather than using individual flowers for the patterns. This approach ties in with the flower series from LeYi Home.
