This lovely fairy cameo is designed for versatile 2-way use, serving as both a brooch and a necklace. The cameo is made of high-quality acrylic resin. Unlike traditional shell or stone carvings, acrylic cameos allow for incredibly intricate expressions and details that are difficult to achieve through hand-carving alone. The delicate artwork evokes the poetic "Flower Fairies" illustrations by Cicely Mary Barker, which were once cherished in Japan as collectible cards inside chocolate boxes. The design features a fairy perched in front of dahlia-like flowers, with beautiful wings resembling those of a swallowtail butterfly. The pendant head (cameo part) measures 4cm x 3cm, a generous size that allows you to fully appreciate the fine details of the illustration. Please refer to the 5th image for a size comparison against a life-size model. The back is equipped with both a brooch pin and a bail, allowing for seamless switching between styles. Since the bail is small, we include a necklace chain with a heart-shaped lobster clasp for easy attachment. When wearing it as a necklace, pinning the brooch to your clothing can help keep the pendant stable and prevent it from swaying. The metal hardware features a sophisticated Antique Gold finish. A silicone brooch stopper is included to ensure secure and worry-free wear.
