White clay, celebrated for its rustic texture and fine grain. After being shaped into a simple, square mug, the entire piece is coated in a lustrous white glaze, followed by the layering of three spring-hued glazes. As the glazes overlap and melt together during firing, they create flowing, organic patterns. Though named "Spring Tri-Color," its deep, rich colors ensure it fits beautifully into your collection year-round, feeling perfectly at home even in autumn and winter. Compared to round mugs, its wider base offers greater stability, making it a reliable companion on your desk during work hours, despite being slightly heavier. Perfect for coffee, café au lait, milk tea, or hojicha lattes. It's also ideal for hearty soups like potage or minestrone. All stages of creation, from kneading the clay and shaping to bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. While mass production isn't possible, each piece possesses its own unique character, inviting you to appreciate its individual charm. I continuously explore new combinations of glazes and clays, creating a diverse range of pottery in various colors and forms. This treatment requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement.
