Artist's Introduction: Clay is a shared, tender memory deep within everyone's heart—a close friend that allows for unrestrained creativity. With both parents being ceramic artists, growing up surrounded by clay in the studio felt entirely natural.
Tea culture is a significant aspect of Chinese heritage, but the demanding pace of modern life often prevents people from experiencing its charm. Many classical arts, such as calligraphy and ink painting, are gradually being overlooked by younger generations. These are invaluable traditions unique to China. Our aesthetic education, from a young age, may favor Western styles, leaning towards modern, bold designs and colors. I am particularly drawn to the freedom of ink. Despite its monochrome palette, ink can express a myriad of emotions through variations in tone, depth, and the dynamic flow of lines. By merging Chinese tea culture with the art of ink, I aim to attract young people through contemporary aesthetics they find appealing, transforming these traditions into a fashionable pursuit.
