Soda firing is a process in which we fire our gas kiln up to the temperature we desire for the works, then we spray Sodium Bicarbonate into the kiln. It creates many lovely effects on the pot surfaces during the firing process. Soda firing has been used by many potters around the world but it is not as widely known in Taiwan.
