Glass Dip Pen Each pen is crafted with unique variations. Subtle textures from the handmade firing process are inherent to every piece, (for example, the body and tip may not be perfectly straight, the surface might not be entirely smooth, some textures may feel raised or indented to the touch, and the ink grooves may not be perfectly equidistant.) A new pen is made only after a previous one is sold. [If you require more than one, please message us first to view sample photos and confirm before purchasing.] (A newly made pen will always differ.) The pen sent will be the one shown in the photos. Each glass dip pen possesses its own life and warmth – the feel in hand, the writing experience, the flow of the patterns, the length… all are entirely unique. [How to Use] Dip the nib into ink, covering 1/3 to more than half of it, to begin writing. (Avoid striking the bottom of the ink bottle.) The feeling and thickness of the writing will vary depending on the angle. Some angles may not be suitable for writing; you’ll need to discover the angle that best suits your writing style. After use, rinse the nib with clean water. If any residual ink remains trapped in the grooves after rinsing, a soft-bristled toothbrush can be used for gentle brushing. Allow it to air dry before storing. Do not drop. ★ Some normal paper scratching may occur during initial use. ★ Do not remove the protective tube horizontally in a straight line (this can easily damage the nib). Instead, twist it in the opposite direction (left or right) to remove. ★ Each pen will have unique, naturally occurring bubbles or bubble patterns (as seen in image 2). ★ Please use fountain pen ink. ★ For calligraphy practice, consider selecting a hard-copy style guide. ★ Includes a small ink bottle (5ml) + a storage box. (★ As ink (liquid) cannot be shipped internationally due to customs regulations, we are unable to include ink for international orders.) ★ If damage occurs and repair is needed, a fee will be charged based on the extent of the damage. (Complete fragmentation cannot be repaired.) ★ Please do not make assumptions based on imagination when purchasing.
