Having never truly seen snow before, I recall being mesmerized on a winding mountain road by fir trees laden with snow. The branches, reaching towards the sky, caught the falling snow, reflecting the afternoon sun as it broke through the clouds. It was as if an unseen hand had adorned a Christmas tree with golden ribbons, scattering a generous handful of fine gold dust. I spent a month immersed in this Eastern European country, a destination less frequented by Asians. I’ve often longed to revisit it in different seasons.
