Eye Pattern Roman Glass and Beaded Brass, Blue Antique Beads, Ethnic Bell Earrings

These earrings are crafted by connecting Roman glass with an eye pattern, beaded brass, blue antique beads, and ethnic bells. The elongated bead is Roman glass, dating back to the Roman Empire (27 BCE – 395 CE). These are fragments of ancient vessels, polished and drilled. Please note that the shape and color may vary slightly between the left and right earrings. The beautifully weathered patina from age is truly captivating. This particular piece was originally part of a bangle, giving it a gentle curve. It features an eye motif and, as an excavated artifact, displays a patina. *Please be aware of minor chips. (Roman glass dimensions: 1.6cm length, 0.45cm width) The blue bead is an antique bead known as an Indo-Pacific bead. The origins of Indo-Pacific beads are said to date back to the 2nd century BCE. This bead is an excavation find from Indonesia, believed to be from around the 10th century – over 1000 years old! The tiny, beaded elements are brass beads crafted by the Benin people of Africa, showcasing incredibly fine detail. The small bells are components from the Kuchi tribe of Afghanistan, originally part of adornments. These are old items. The bells do not produce sound. These earrings evoke a sense of contemplation about the passage of time.
