On October 17, 1921, the Taiwan Cultural Association was established, ushering in a new era for Taiwanese literature and bringing a fresh perspective to the land and society. This set of postcards is derived from the museum's 2021 diary and planner. It features a curated selection of 12 writers born in the same era as the Cultural Association, including Chen Hsiu-hsi, Hsu Yu-cheng, Lo Lang, Chou Meng-tieh, Chin Lien, Hsiao Hsiang-wen, Chung Chao-cheng, Ke Chi-hua, Chen Chien-wu, Lo Fu, Rong Tzi, and Chou Chin-po. Their poems and prose are paired with illustrations that depict the landscapes, mountains, rivers, oceans, and vibrant flora of various regions.
The manuscripts and cultural relics of these 12 writers, preserved in the National Museum of Taiwan Literature's collection, are also subtly incorporated into the designs.
Follow in the footsteps of these writers and journey back through a century of literary landscapes.
