Wrinkles, vein patterns, insect bite marks, and scars are normal characteristics of the leather itself. Over time, it will also develop a patina, such as darkening in color or becoming more lustrous with regular use. ▪ While hand-dyed leather pieces are color-treated, contact with water is still not recommended. If water splashes occur, gently wipe the area around the water spots in a circular motion with a damp cloth to minimize water marks, then allow to air dry in a ventilated area. However, color transfer may occur with friction when wet. ▪ Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as this can cause the leather to become brittle and crack. ▪ Keep leather away from damp environments to prevent mildew.
