【Ikegami‧Xinchuan】Exhibition special issue - Indie Press - Paper Orange

Product Description

Looking back at the development of Chishang over the past century, it is a small history of Taiwanese immigration. People from all over the world cultivated and lived in Chishang, a small town in the back mountains. They turned the wasteland into fertile soil, and they lived and worked in peace and contentment, surrounded by mountains and rivers, farming in sunny weather, and made Chishang the beautiful place it is today. Taiwan Good Foundation specially invited Zhang Jiaxing, founder of Mushroom Design, to curate <Chishang. Legacy>Special exhibition, more than 50 Chishang folks were interviewed. The folks rummaged through boxes and found hundreds of photos. Each photo conveys a sentiment; three artists, Wu Songming, POCO Yan Anzhi and Wang Yujun, were invited to express their feelings through vision and hearing. Arouse the imagination of Ikegami in the viewer's mind. From the first people to move across mountains and ridges, to a group of people settling down and forming a town, forming a world of its own, <Chishang. Legacy>It is Ikegami’s past, present, and expectations for the future. The special issue "Ikegami‧Biography" presents the highlights of this exhibition and introductions to each exhibition area, and includes interviews with people, so that everyone can better understand the century-old development history of Ikegami and the stories of the people of Ikegami.
