This is a delicate double-strand necklace, meticulously assembled with Shan vintage carnelian, ancient agate, peacock blue and orange seed beads, antique blue beads, and old Orissa brass. The beads, with their captivating, intricate banding, are carnelian used by the Shan people (Myanmar). While the exact age is unknown, they are over 50 years old, making them true vintage pieces. Their finely detailed stripes are exquisite, and despite their small size, these beads are utterly enchanting. (Vintage Carnelian Size: 1cm height, 0.6cm diameter) The milky white beads are ancient agate from Afghanistan, dating back approximately 1200 years. These also showcase the beautiful banded patterns characteristic of agate, with a charming, organic asymmetry. The peacock blue beads are old seed beads from India, originating from around the 19th-20th century. Their worn texture tells a story of being cherished and worn for many years, offering a unique patina. Their lustrous, irregular shapes and subtle color variations are captivating! (Seed Bead Size: 2-2.5mm) The orange beads are also old seed beads from India, from the 19th-20th century. Their slight color inconsistencies add to their charm. These were likely part of personal adornments like necklaces. They are in remarkably good condition! (Bead Size: 2-2.5mm) The blue beads are antique beads known as Indopacific beads. The origins of Indopacific beads are said to date back to the 2nd century BC. These particular beads are archaeological finds from Indonesia, dating an astonishing 1000 years back to around the 10th century! A single bead has been incorporated into the clasp area. The anchor-like charm next to the carnelian, along with the golden beads, are made of old Orissa brass. These are old and rare beads from the Orissa region of India. The small round charm near the clasp is also old brass from India. The silver beads and the clasp are Karen silver, with small beads featuring floral engravings.
