"Japanese hand towel" designed by Tabineko artist "Toshinori Mori" with motifs of two cats and plants they meet in their garden.
This is a piece dyed in the basic color of lemon.
Made in Japan, 100% cotton ●Size: 34 cm x 90 cm
This is a piece from the "A-tenugui" series, a tenugui brand produced by "Books Hasegawa".
At "Konni Dyeing Studio" in Ojiya City, Niigata Prefecture, craftsmen dye by hand using a traditional technique called "Chusen" (paper stencil dyeing with glue).
When dyeing by pour-dyeing, dye escapes to the underside of the cloth and is dyed on the reverse side, so that the pattern can be seen on both sides of the cloth. The color is also vivid and does not fade easily.
Tenugui can be used in a variety of ways, such as as a handkerchief, wrapped around the neck or head as a fashion item, or wrapped around an object.
You can also enjoy them as interior decorations in your room by framing them as if they were art.
