Shiba Inu is a type of Japanese dog native to Japan.
The name "Shiba Inu" was used in the Chuo Highlands, and in the literature it is used in the journal "Japan Dogs" of the Japan Dog Preservation Society in the early Showa era. In general, "Shiba" means "Shibakari" and refers to small small trees.
There are various theories on the origin,
・ Because it passes through the Shiba Yabu skillfully and helps hunting
・ Because the reddish-brown hair color resembles withered Shiba (Shiba red)
・ From the old word “Shiba” that represents small things
The three theories are typical.
