Crafted with the philosophy of cherishing every "beautiful thing." Imagine the T-shirt as your base layer, and an apron layered on top – what would that look like? This sparked my imagination and creation process. The speed at which we consume clothing outpaces our ability to consume food. When clothing becomes too soiled to clean, we want to give it a second life. You can cut the fabric to create cleaning cloths, tablecloths, tote bags, and more. However, we designed this garment from the outset to transform into an apron. When not in use, the back pocket resembles an art installation motif. Art Deco & Modernism GROW embodies modernism by empathetically expressing everyone's true feelings and thoughts in a more emotionally authentic way. It is grounded in science, emphasizing rationality, logic, and experimental validation. Adding pockets to knitwear can lead to wear and tear. To address this, we've reinforced the pocket opening with a layer of webbing and secured it with zigzag stitching and contrasting bar tacks for enhanced durability. This design highlights GROW's functionality, harmoniously blending geometric Art Deco symbols like squares and triangles for perfect proportions. It creates pockets inspired by Art Deco motifs, which are both decorative and functional, resulting in more aesthetically pleasing and durable pockets. | Choosing GROW as an "Apron" For those who prefer a minimalist style, you can detach the back straps. In the future, when the garment is old and no longer worn, we can repurpose it. The back pocket becomes the front of the apron. Designed to flatter East Asian body types with a relaxed, shorter cut, it's also unisex, suitable for everyone. We considered this from the initial design phase, omitting shoulder seams for a more versatile fit. | A Free-Spirited Lifestyle The relaxed, wide body accommodates various body types, while the mid-short, slimming cut is easily tucked in by petite individuals. Observing everyday wear, we noticed that knit tops and T-shirts often feature ribbed knit fabric for the neckline, which offers great elasticity but easily loses its shape with wear. If we can't change usage habits, let's change traditional design with a "Long-Life Products" mindset. We've constructed the neckline with a single piece of fabric. It naturally curls after use, creating a worn-in look from the start, but the collar itself won't sag. We've reinforced the joining point with bar tacks for a more durable neckline. This counter-intuitive collar design is intended to last longer. | Good Cotton: Even Rips Look Good! We sought a knit fabric that, like denim, develops natural charm with long-term use – a fabric where even rips would look appealing. This is the perfect textile to represent the GROW spirit! rin selects fine combed cotton, using multi-ply folded yarn spun with high density. This results in a fabric that is thin to the touch, highly resistant to abrasion, pilling-resistant, and substantial. Its breathable and warming properties are also ideal for Taiwan's climate from September to April. | Washed for Comfort rin subjects the finished product to a washing process and high-temperature drying to prevent shrinkage, all in pursuit of a natural aesthetic. You can directly experience the true texture of the fabric, radiating its natural charm. It is ironed and finished a second time before being delivered to you. You won't have to worry about size discrepancies after washing in the future.
