The irregular circular patterns, achieved through traditional paste-resist dyeing techniques, carry the warmth of handcrafted artistry and intangible cultural heritage. It's as if we've gathered the stars from the blue sky and scattered them like blossoms onto the children's dresses.
Initially, during the design phase, we wondered about the final effect of these charming circles. We were also repeatedly cautioned about potential "cracks" inherent in handcrafted processes. However, the outcome revealed that every corner where the plant-based dye settled became even more playful, whimsical, and captivating. Each piece is uniquely distinct.
The fabric chosen is a high-density 60-count cotton poplin, yet remarkably lightweight at just 120 grams, offering exceptional comfort and a delicate feel.
Building upon the art of plant dyeing, we've embraced the elegant silhouette of the cheongsam, infused with Eastern charm. Yet, it features a playful, modern cocoon shape with clean lines, allowing Chinese girls to express their beauty with freedom and ease.
