*Modern lacquerware "TO:DAY" was born by pursuing the form of traditional crafts that can be easily incorporated into "now" life.*
While maintaining the quality of traditional crafts, I would like you to incorporate modern designs that match the current lifestyle of the Reiwa era into your room and surroundings without being conscious of traditional crafts. I want to expand the possibilities of lacquerware in the present age. The name of the modern lacquerware series "TO:DAY" reflects this thought.
*This product features a unique modern art design, which is rare in lacquerware.*
The design that shines as an interior gives a sense of calmness and quality of modern Japanese to everyday life, creating a space that shines.
*Aizu-nuri, which developed in the Aizu region in the western part of Fukushima Prefecture, is a traditional craft that Japan boasts with a history dating back to the 15th century.*
This product is a product that you can enjoy both the quality of Aizu lacquerware and the modern design, which was produced with Suzuzen lacquerware shop, a long-established representative of Aizunuri, which has been in business for over 200 years.

[Design tray]
The modern lacquerware design tray is a tray and art panel with a gold lacquer design drawn in the center and raised around like a picture frame.
In addition to being used as a tray for placing and storing things, it can be easily displayed as interior art using wall pins and display items. You can decorate not only one piece but also multiple pieces side by side.
It is a tray that is easy to use because it is horizontally long, small, light and thin, but has a strong presence. It's just the right size to use as a tray for one person, with sweets, cakes, or snacks and drinks. It goes well with both Japanese and Western atmospheres, so it can be used in Japanese settings such as table tea ceremonies.
Coating/Materials: cashew coating, wooden joint
Tray size: width 24 x length 11 x height 1 (cm) (inside step approx. 3mm)
Tray/Weight: 138g
Tray design: gold lacquer in the center of the black background (choose from 3 designs)
Color: Black (glossy) (matte back)
Made in Japan (Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture)
We have prepared three unique designs. Please choose one from the three types below.
1) π (pie) line *Design for this product
The feature of this design is that fine numbers are expressed simply and sharply like lines. This number, 3.14, is the circumference of the circle (laughs). At first glance, you can't see it as a number, but it's stylish, and it's a design that you can enjoy even more if you understand the meaning of the number. Despite its uniqueness, it's simple, so it complements what you put on it, and it's fashionable and easy to use around your desk.
In fact, it is very difficult to print small characters such as numbers with maki-e without being crushed, and the skilled craftsmanship shines.
2) Ippitsu Street
A design in which people walking on the street are connected by a single stroke. It was originally inspired by the pattern sewn on the kimono obi. This is also a fusion of modern art and traditional crafts. The pattern that looks like a foreigner walking down the street looks great when displayed in the room as art.
3) Leopard
I arranged a leopard pattern and tried to combine it with lacquerware. The black luster of the lacquerware and the gold of the lacquer work create a sense of luxury, and it goes well with a space where you can enjoy alcoholic beverages such as wine.
There is no doubt that the usual home time and drinking time alone will increase the special feeling.
