We remade a gorgeous Japanese obi to make a Place Mat.
This piece uses a vintage obi from Maizuru, a highly respected textile workshop in Kyoto, Japan. Nishijin-ori is a traditional weaving technique with over 1,000 years of history, known for its luxurious textures and detailed patterns woven with silk and gold threads.
Featuring a bold geometric motif in red, gold, and black, the pattern is both modern and timeless.
Place it to add a gorgeous accent to your room!
Since it is the only handmade item in the world, it can be a gift for your loved ones.
