Introducing the 'Haworthia fasciata' with its pointed, claw-like leaves, paired with the uniquely shaped, petite, and charming 'Gasteria glomerata'. Both are succulent varieties that thrive in shade, and their colors transform beautifully with varying levels of sunlight. Complemented by the designer's unique Morandi green x grey two-tone cement planter, this pairing is effortlessly stylish and pleasing to the eye!
ใHaworthia fasciata (ๅไบไนๅท)ใ
The 'Haworthia fasciata' is a succulent that thrives in shade, meaning it doesn't require intense sunlight. It's perfect for spots with diffused light. Reserve direct sunlight, where shadows are cast, for succulents that need ample sun and are prone to stretching. The nooks and crannies of balconies, the second shelf of a wooden rack โ these are ideal locations for your 'Haworthia fasciata'!
Watering
Adjust the frequency based on your environment. For outdoor planting with ample sunlight and good ventilation, water once every 1-2 weeks, ensuring the entire plant is hydrated. For potted plants, water until it drains from the drainage holes. This method is suitable for spring, autumn, and winter. In summer, as it's a dormant period, reduce watering to half or one-third of the usual amount.
The 'Haworthia fasciata', with its pointed, claw-like leaves, carries a floral meaning of "grasping abundant wealth." If you're looking to invite prosperity and good fortune into your life, bringing home a 'Haworthia fasciata' is the way to go!
ใGasteria glomerata (ไน่ผชๅก)ใ
'Gasteria glomerata', also known as the 'Frost Lily', is a succulent from the Asphodelaceae family, Haworthia genus. Native to Southwest Africa, it prefers sunlight and is not shade-tolerant, but is relatively drought-tolerant. It has a unique, tower-like shape, appearing as an evergreen plant with a columnar form. In its natural state, its color is green or yellowish, but it changes color under direct sunlight. Because its leaf color is delicate and understated, it doesn't require as much light as some other succulent varieties and doesn't need to be directly exposed to the sun.
Light
'Gasteria glomerata' is a sun-loving succulent, so ensure it receives ample sunlight during cultivation. It can tolerate full sun in spring, autumn, and winter. However, it's not heat-tolerant, so provide partial shade during the hot summer months and maintain good ventilation.
Temperature Regulation
'Gasteria glomerata' is not cold-hardy. Spring and autumn are its peak growing seasons. Overwintering temperatures should not drop below 5ยฐC. Low temperatures can easily cause frost damage or even death to 'Gasteria glomerata'. The ideal growing temperature should be maintained between 10ยฐC and 20ยฐC. Therefore, while allowing it to bask in the sun on hot days, it needs partial shade. In winter, when temperatures are very low, it should be moved indoors to ensure both warmth and sufficient sunlight for growth.
Watering
Like other succulents, it is quite drought-tolerant. Wait until the soil is completely dry from the previous watering before watering again.
๐ Key Points: Drought-tolerant, shade-tolerant, water only when the soil is completely dry, water every 1-2 weeks.
