These earrings are crafted by connecting mosaic-patterned Roman glass, I-blue beads, granular brass, and ethnic bells.
The Roman glass dates back to the Roman Empire (27 BCE - 395 CE).
It's made from fragments of what were once bangle bracelets, giving each bead a slight curvature.
The Roman glass pieces resemble abstract paintings.
As they are antique, they may have small nicks.
(Size of Roman glass: Approx. 2.2 cm in length, 0.6 cm in width - for the larger piece)
The blue beads are antique beads known as Indo-Pacific beads.
The origins of Indo-Pacific beads are said to date back to the 2nd century BCE.
These particular beads are excavated items from Indonesia, dating back to around the 10th century - over 1000 years old!
The granular beads are brass beads crafted by the Benin people of Africa, featuring incredibly intricate detailing.
The small bells are components from the Kuchi tribe of Afghanistan, originally part of decorative items, and are also antique.
They do not produce sound.
