Vintage Sarreguemines OBERNAI French Countryside Style Cup and Saucer Set A very rare, generously sized ceramic cup and saucer set from the renowned French brand Sarreguemines! In Europe, coffee culture traditionally favors espresso or small black coffees, meaning antique porcelain cups were usually smaller. Large-capacity vintage ceramic cups and saucers are therefore quite uncommon! This mid-20th-century set features a cream-colored country girl motif from the Obernai collection, with designs inspired by the rural landscapes and daily life of France's Alsace region. The illustrations, by French artist Henri Loux, depict Alsatian countryside scenes and traditional attire.
