This hot water cup is hand-painted with violets blooming in the spring workshop garden and visiting swallows.
This work allows you to enjoy the rough texture of the soil itself, the beauty of Japan, and the sense of the seasons.
This work is completed by painting violets and swallows on a hot water cup made of coarse clay.
The simple and warm iron painting adds taste and Japanese beauty to the work. The iron glaze used for painting was made from raw materials collected from nearby rice fields and mixed in my own workshop.
It can be used as a teacup or sake cup, or as a mukozuke for storing sashimi, vinegared dishes, etc.
You can also enjoy how the depth increases as you use it.
