|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"Jade nurtures the body for three years, and the body nurtures jade for a lifetime."
Crystals possess strong energetic fields, but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is known for its gentle and soothing properties. While its energetic field may not be as potent as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, offering only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been identified in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI[Si2 O6], often containing trace elements such as calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), magnesium (Mg), and iron (Fe).
White jadeite generally contains no impurities.
Red jadeite contains trivalent iron.
Black jadeite contains more than 2% chromium.
Green jadeite contains more than 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow jadeite contains iron.
Purple jadeite contains manganese.
Blue jadeite is essentially the same as green but is rarer.
Trace element "calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily found in bones and teeth, with presence in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of bodily functions throughout all stages of life, from youth to adulthood and old age. It plays a crucial role in maintaining health and longevity, indispensable for the human body.
Trace element "chromium" (Cr) is significantly important for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and regulating blood sugar. The human body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. Chromium can enhance insulin sensitivity in individuals with Type 2 diabetes, aid in managing cholesterol and blood sugar for overweight individuals, and its loss is accelerated under high-stress conditions, making it particularly important for these groups.
Trace element "nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. Adult bodies contain approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, primarily found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, with unabsorbed portions excreted in feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "manganese" (Mn) is another protective trace element in the human body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "magnesium" (Mg) is also an essential macromineral for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is vital for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium effectively regulates calcium and maintains normal neuromuscular function, with both elements working synergistically. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation and is linked to various chronic conditions, particularly cardiovascular mortality. Studies have shown that individuals who drink hard water, with relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have lower cardiovascular mortality rates. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the essential trace elements for the human body. An adult body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with six to seven-tenths distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron for proper function.
Medical research reveals the potent therapeutic capabilities of jadeite. Long-term wear can not only prevent diseases but also alleviate and even treat certain conditions.
Relieving Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help alleviate this common ailment. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, providing a lasting effect through continuous massage.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to possess properties that "clear middle-course heat, moisten the heart and lungs, nourish hair, benefit the five internal organs, calm the spirit, promote blood circulation, and enhance vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of the body's organ functions.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite accessories, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, come into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements within jadeite enter the body, nourishing the skin and making women appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Relief: The naturally cool property of jadeite provides a soothing and cooling sensation. During the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei was known to hold jade in her mouth during summer to relieve heat. Since then, summer has become a time for cool comfort. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are used to combat the heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for appreciating jadeite. Another, less tangible reason, is its comforting effect when feeling down or stressed. Looking at jadeite can bring an inexplicable sense of solace and comfort, as if receiving an embrace.
