Using these travel encounters as inspiration, I've created tapestries and T-shirts themed around these common Australian creatures. I've given these animals distinct personalities, playing on their contrasting traits for creative expression: the crocodile, a carnivore with a cool, green, vegetable-like hue; the koala, a sleeping beauty capable of 20 hours of sleep daily; the emu, a long-legged marathon runner; and the kangaroo, a freeloader who's too big for its mother's pouch but still insists on free milk. 【About the Artist】Pei Hsiao-ma Pei is my surname, and Hsiao-ma (Little Horse) is my nickname, which I've used consistently due to habit. When I'm not working, I'm an illustrator based in Australia. Sweatshirts, hoodies, and zip-up jackets: Made from a blend of 50% U.S. cotton and 50% polyester fiber. Long-sleeved items feature a soft, dense fleece lining. Jackets use YKK metal zippers. The main fabric origins are Vietnam and Bangladesh, with a small portion from China. Please refrain from ordering if this is a concern for you. Images are printed using direct-to-garment digital printing with eco-friendly inks. A mild acidic treatment is used to enhance color fastness, so a slight odor is normal and will dissipate after washing or airing for one day in a well-ventilated area.
