Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a popular material for jewelry due to its affordability and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize, and its color may deepen when exposed to rain, sweat, and air. While some appreciate this natural patina, here are some tips to maintain its original luster: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable bag when not being worn. If the luster appears dull, a few simple methods can help restore your item's original radiance. Please note that while color can be restored, wear and tear may affect the shine (the matte, antique bronze look of vintage pieces is also beautiful!). ♦ Gently scrub with a toothbrush dipped in a foaming toothpaste or tooth powder, similar to brushing your teeth. This can help restore brass's shine. Be sure to dry thoroughly afterwards. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth for a quick shine (not suitable for brushed finishes). ♦ Mix lemon juice with water and soak the brass accessory for about 5 minutes to quickly restore its shine (not suitable for natural beads that are sensitive to acid, such as pearls).
