We made the string a little longer at 27cm so that it can be used with paperbacks, new books (larger than paperbacks), notebooks, etc. (The photo shows a paperback book). The goldfish's transparent fins have white highlights, so you can especially enjoy the fine lines. Pearl paint has been used to give the appearance of scales, which appear to sparkle delicately depending on the angle. The dorsal, pectoral, ventral and caudal fins (four tails) are all made very thin. Even the fine lines on the tail fin were carefully drawn one by one with a thin brush. The beads attached to the goldfish bag have a water balloon design. The string for the bookmark is made of human-five string dyed with a durable dye (a dye that does not fade easily when exposed to UV rays). Ningohimo is a string used for hanging decorations and Japanese ornaments, so it has an elegant luster and is flexible but also has just the right amount of hardness. We pasted Unryu Japanese paper on the poi and coated it with resin to prevent it from tearing.
