**◈ A Word from the Designer**
Carefully selected top-grade Imperial Blue Lapis Lazuli (the stone of imperial sacrifice to heaven through the ages), crafted into cubes (representing heaven and earth, and perfect composure), with a pure and vibrant hue, and delicate, beautiful white veining. Paired with top-grade, clear Aquamarine Pixiu (mythical beast that attracts wealth, with three Pixiu symbolizing triple success), a heart charm (for wishes granted), a peanut charm (for good things to happen), and a Ruyi scepter (for things to be as you wish). The gemstones are icy, translucent, and moist, with exceptional luster, revealing starlight and rainbow effects. The peanut charm is a rare "Devil Blue" variety of Aquamarine, embodying the spirit of a "multigem bangle" design. The overall piece is grand, magnificent, and exceptionally opulent.
**A one-of-a-kind piece, awaiting its extraordinary owner. ^^**
**Lapis Lazuli**
Ancient texts record that Chinese people have documented the use of Lapis Lazuli as early as 5,000 years ago, and even earlier in Egypt, around 8,000 years ago. Chinese emperors of past dynasties used Lapis Lazuli for sacrifices to heaven, as its blue hue resembles the sky, leading people to believe it was a stone that could connect with the heavens. The ancient Egyptians, believing it could facilitate communication with the afterlife, also utilized it.
The finest Lapis Lazuli in the world is found in Afghanistan. Afghan Lapis Lazuli boasts a commanding color and is known for its "Imperial Blue" beauty.
When selecting Lapis Lazuli, look for pieces with a natural distribution of blue, white (calcite), and gold (pyrite). As Lapis Lazuli forms near the earth's surface and has many pores, it is not suitable for prolonged exposure to water. It is recommended to periodically nourish it with mineral oil.
**Aquamarine**
Aquamarine is named for its clear blue-green hue, reminiscent of the ocean.
Legend has it that mermaids living in the deep blue sea adorned themselves with Aquamarine, basking it in sunlight to absorb mystical powers for their protection, thus Aquamarine is also known as "Mermaid Stone."
For centuries, sailors voyaging across the waves have also used Aquamarine to pray for the sea god's blessings and safe passage. Consequently, Aquamarine is revered as the "Stone of the Brave," symbolizing composure, courage, and wisdom.
**Pixiu**
According to legend, Pixiu is a son of the dragon, with a lion's head, horns, and a beast-like body. It feeds on wealth and evil spirits, and only consumes, never expels. Thus, Pixiu is believed to possess the functions of "attracting wealth" and "warding off evil."
In ancient times, Pixiu were quite robust and fierce beasts! In modern times, to align with popular sentiment, they are depicted as plump and fortunate, as if filled with wealth, appearing more comforting and adorable.
**Ruyi Scepter**
The term "Ruyi" is straightforward, meaning "as you wish," implying the fulfillment of desires.
The Ruyi scepter's form consists of a cloud pattern or a lingzhi mushroom at the top, connected to a long handle. Sometimes, only the shapes of lingzhi or clouds are used as symbolic representations.
The Qing Dynasty's "Catalog of Things' Different Names" states, "Ruyi was an ancient scratching tool," referring to its use as an ancient back scratcher (similar to a modern "back scratcher").
Furthermore, "Ruyi" also served as the "Hu," a tablet used by ancient officials to record matters during court sessions (also known as "Chaohu" or "Shouban"). It was also used in warfare to signal commands, symbolizing wisdom, power, and auspiciousness.
We often see various Bodhisattvas holding Ruyi scepters:
"Guanyin of the Ruyi" holds a Ruyi scepter, signifying her ability to perceive all, rescue from danger, avert misfortune, ensure things go as planned, and bring peace to people's hearts.
"Manjushri Bodhisattva," who symbolizes wisdom, holds different implements, each with a distinct meaning: a sword represents severing afflictions; a blue lotus symbolizes pure wisdom and untainted virtue; and a Ruyi scepter represents wisdom and auspiciousness. Therefore, Ruyi also signifies wisdom.
**Cloisonné (Jingtailan, Champlevé Enamel)**
Cloisonné, scientifically known as wire-inlaid enamel on copper, originated in the ancient Near East. As early as the 19th century BCE, ancient Egyptian pharaohs used it to create necklaces, often combined with gemstone inlays. The Eastern Roman Empire later elevated this craft to exceptional heights. It was introduced to China during the Yuan Dynasty and reached its zenith during the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty, hence its name, "Jingtailan."
Exquisite Cloisonné pieces feature lustrous and vibrant colors, a thick and solid copper base, neat and uniform wirework, and brilliant gold plating. They embody the warmth of jade, the radiance of gemstones, and the delicacy of porcelain. Therefore, the Cloisonné craft is intricate and costly.

**◈ On Usage and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess their inherent luster and unique textures (such as minor dark spots, stone patterns, internal fractures, cloudy inclusions, mineral deficiencies, and asymmetry). With frequent wear, you may observe subtle color changes in natural gemstones, which often become more translucent and captivating – this is also the best form of maintenance.
Natural organic gemstones (like coral, amber, pearls, and great clam shell) have low hardness and are susceptible to acids and alkalis. When cleaning dirt, avoid detergents. Rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. You may also gently brush with a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (such as baby oil) for maintenance.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan. Avoid external damage or exposure to strong acids and alkalis that may cause discoloration.
3. Fabric materials (ribbon, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable to the touch and have a long lifespan. Avoid high temperatures, external damage, or exposure to strong acids and alkalis that may cause discoloration.
4. For any jewelry material, when cleaning dirt, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water as appropriate, or use a suitable amount of neutral detergent for suitable materials. After washing, ensure prompt drying.
5. When jewelry is removed, it should be properly packaged and stored, protected from excess air to slow oxidation and discoloration. Avoid stacking or pressing.
