This plum blossom celebratory gift envelope was created in collaboration between Keiko Komatsu, the head of Kami Hitoye and a Mizuhiki designer, to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the opening of Tokyu Plaza Ginza.
Plum blossoms bloom ahead of spring, overcoming the cold winter. In particular, the mizuhiki plum knot carries the meaning of "enhancement of destiny." It is given with a wish to bring color to the upcoming time for your cherished person.
The envelope includes three decorative paper strips: "Kotobuki" (congratulations), "Oiwai" (celebration), and a blank one.
The Japanese paper used for the outer wrapping has a checkered pattern embossed into it, giving it a refined texture.
