→ Product Introduction
I've known Teacher Hsu for about eight or nine years now. I remember when he first walked into my cafe, still bearing a youthful innocence, a fine young man.
Our relationship evolved from a casual customer, to a regular, and then to a friend. I've also witnessed "Student Hsu" grow into "Teacher Hsu." I attended his graduation exhibition at Bopiliao, and it was truly remarkable! To this day, that whale is still my phone's wallpaper. If you ever have the chance, you must visit Yilan to see that ceramic whale sculpture in person. Beyond its lifelike presence, the work expresses a deep concern for environmental ecology and the whale's journey of growth; the Taiwanese island it carries on its back symbolizes both hope and helplessness for this land. So many thoughts and sentiments are presented in that series of works; it was truly magnificent.
Each piece is a labor of love from the artist, with every glaze and form carefully considered and created. For Teacher Hsu, functionality is a paramount element, and "functional ceramics" is a phrase I frequently hear him utter.
The base of the vessel is inscribed with Teacher Hsu's handwritten seal script character "嘉" (Jia). Each stroke conveys his dedication to his craft and his passion for pottery.
We hope for mutual growth and a peaceful, stable world. We also hope for continued support from our friends who appreciate our work. Let's strive together.

→ Purchase Notes
* Most products in this design 馆 are purely handcrafted, and the glaze or ash deposit on each piece will vary. This is precisely the charm of ceramic art. Therefore, once a piece is sold out, it will not be restocked, and you won't find an identical work. If a piece you like is purchased by someone else, we regret that you will need to choose another item from our selection. We apologize for any inconvenience. Alternatively, you may contact the designer to see if a similar piece is available.
* Dimensions are measured by hand and may have an error of within 0.5 cm.
* Pieces may exhibit subtle marks from the crafting process, as all items are either fully or semi-handcrafted. These traces of the making process are to be expected.
* During the firing process, glazes may exhibit natural distribution patterns, which is entirely normal and is emphasized by NATURE GLAZE. Ceramics are inherently natural. If you have any questions about the product, please send us a private message.
* Product images are taken in a studio setting with adjusted lighting and environment. While no post-production editing is used, please refer to the actual product for color accuracy, as discrepancies will not be considered defects.
