"Nuda"*, is a variant of the Crown Cactus belonging to the barrel cactus family. As the name suggests, this variety has completely degenerated thorns into white surface protrusions, meaning it's completely thorn-free and you don't have to worry about getting pricked. However, in its younger, more tender stages of growth, it does produce golden-yellow thorns that gradually fade and disappear over time. So, if your thornless crown cactus still has a few thorns, don't worry, they will degenerate and vanish later! Much like our lives, youthful impetuosity and sharp edges give way to a more mellow and refined personality as we age. This is also why designers are so fond of it! The body of the Thornless Crown Cactus grows exceptionally large with a robust root system, and its flowering ability is also superb! The flowers easily form circular crowns of yellow at the top of the plant body, creating a stunning spectacle when they bloom together. It's said that the plant body can reach up to 30 cm in height when fully grown, making it a highly anticipated and distinctive cactus! | Care Instructions | The Thornless Crown Cactus is generally hardy, preferring warm, humid, sunny environments with significant diurnal temperature variations. Its ideal growing temperature is 16-28°C, with winter temperatures not dropping below 5°C. During its vigorous spring and summer growth, it requires ample sunlight and frequent watering. Additionally, apply organic fertilizer once a month. It's particularly important to provide slight shading during the peak midday sun in high summer, but not for too long, as this can affect the plant's appearance. During winter cold snaps with extremely low temperatures, move the plant indoors, water sparingly, and keep the soil dry. 📝 Key Care Points: Prefers warmth, ample sunlight, tolerates strong light, water approx. once a week in summer, control watering in winter (approx. once a month), average cold tolerance, protect from cold. Succulents and cacti are sensitive to water and light, and watering frequency will vary with environment and climate.
