These are SDGs jewelry pieces featuring Kintsugi, upcycled from ceramics by Enzaemon Kiln in Arita, Saga Prefecture. We reuse broken or chipped ceramics that are no longer in use, apply Kintsugi, and transform them into accessories. Our concept is to create modern accessories that connect with the future, allowing people to feel close to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, thereby fostering new possibilities. Elegant ceramic fragments with hand-painted designs are adorned with freshwater pearls. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the ceramic pieces, allowing the gold to shimmer beautifully from any angle and exuding an air of sophistication. These pieces are perfect as a statement accent for both casual and elegant outfits. Length: 16 x 16mm Metal Fittings: Surgical stainless steel earrings (metal fittings cannot be changed) Weight: Although made from ceramic fragments, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear. As these are one-of-a-kind, finished pieces, we cannot accept requests for changes to the metal fittings or offer re-creation. "Kintsugi" is a unique Japanese traditional repair technique that mends broken or chipped pottery using lacquer and gold powder. This work is created using a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique, which uses adhesive for bonding rather than pure lacquer derived from the urushi tree.
