As the fabric is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, occasional "weaving flaws" may appear, which can look like minor "frays." While these are unavoidable with the use of vintage machinery, we make every effort to minimize them through thorough factory inspections and careful fabric cutting, placing flawed sections in less visible areas when possible. However, due to the nature of the machinery, they cannot be entirely eliminated.
