What is the wood-firing process?** American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are blended in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-pinching (not on a wheel) to slowly form the shape. After basic shaping, the body's lines are refined, then polished to complete the initial form. Once placed in the kiln, the wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood continues uninterrupted for five days and four nights, reaching temperatures exceeding 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a special ash glaze. Simultaneously, the fire marks within the kiln flow between the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple flame patterns. After five days and four nights of ash and flame intermingling, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! What should guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photography light sources. As works are purely handmade, they will inevitably bear traces of the hand-forming process. Slight variations may also occur due to the firing process; uneven rims or minor production scratches are considered normal and do not affect functionality.
