Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a highly favored material for jewelry, offering an accessible price point and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize, with its color deepening due to exposure to rain, sweat, and air. While some appreciate this natural patina, if you wish to avoid it, regular care is advised: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ When not wearing, store in a ziplock bag. If the luster diminishes, a few simple methods can help restore your piece to its former brilliance. Please note that while color can be revived, wear and tear may affect the high-gloss finish (the matte, antique bronze look of vintage pieces is also quite beautiful!). ♦ Gently brush with a toothbrush dipped in a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder, similar to brushing your teeth. This can help brass regain its luster; be sure to dry thoroughly afterward. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth to quickly restore shine (not applicable to brushed finishes). ♦ Squeeze lemon juice, dilute it, and soak the brass jewelry for about 5 minutes for a rapid restoration of shine (not suitable for natural stones sensitive to acid, such as pearls).
