Even today, many people remain captivated by denim. This style is based on the classic 1955 501 fit, staying true to its heritage with a relaxed, straight-leg cut and a mid-high waist. It offers a looser fit through the thigh and a straight silhouette down to the leg opening. The fabric is our proprietary 14oz selvedge denim, featuring a blue selvedge line and pronounced white weft, allowing for rapid fading. This is a great choice for those who appreciate distinct wear patterns. / Product Information / - 55501 - 100% Cotton - Raw Denim - Mid-High Waist, Relaxed Straight Fit - 14oz - Unsanforized - Upon first wash, the waist will shrink approximately 1-2 cm, and the length will shrink 2-3 cm. - Vegetable-tanned leather patch - Silver "E" tab button - Black copper button - Blue selvedge line - Gütermann sewing thread / Care Instructions / - The fun is in not washing them. - Hand wash gently, separately from other colors. We recommend using a neutral detergent. - Do not use detergents containing bleach. / Size Recommendation / - This item is unsanforized! - Upon first wash, the waist will shrink approximately 1-2 cm, and the length will shrink 2-3 cm. - All product dimensions are measured flat. Due to fabric elasticity, washing treatments, and measurement starting/ending points, there may be slight variations from the actual product dimensions. The allowable error is ±2cm. - If you have questions about sizing, please message us for a recommended size. / Denim Care Guide / Raw denim fabric has a starch coating, making it stiff upon arrival. It needs to be soaked to remove this starch. Here are a few methods for denim care beginners. Feel free to message us with any questions. Keep ‘Em Rigid (No Wash Method): This method means "no washing." By not washing, the starch remains, and there will be no shrinkage from water exposure. This preserves the raw denim's wild and rugged spirit. Hot Water Soak (Shrinkage 2-3%): Soak in approximately 40°C hot water for 40 minutes. Do not spin dry or sun dry. Wear the jeans when they are about 90% dry. Allow them to air dry in a cool place afterward. Room Temperature Water Soak (Less Shrinkage): Soak in room temperature water for 40 minutes. Hang them inside out to drip dry. Do not spin dry or sun dry. Wear them directly after, and let them air dry in a cool place afterward. Aggressive Soak Method (Maximum Shrinkage): If the size is too large, you can use this method. Machine wash once in room temperature water, spin dry once, and air dry in a cool place. (Shrinkage is directly proportional to water temperature) After the initial soak, the jeans will still feel stiff. We recommend wearing them when they are about 90% dry to avoid them shrinking too tightly. Don't worry if they feel a bit snug at first; they will gradually conform to your body shape and become much more comfortable after a period of wear. Different brands, conditions, and individual actions can all result in varying shrinkage rates.
