Aneqdot Dancing Green

Aneqdot is a brand of designer "Fumi Hotta" who has been active as a hand-woven artist in Sweden for 10 years, and sends out not only cute but also cool design themes. Inspired by Scandinavian design and thought, she uses Japanese techniques to design from fabrics. Aneqdot comes from Anekdot, which means "a little story about it" in Swedish. It embodies the idea of evaluating not only the thing itself, but also the small stories associated with it and the stories that are created while using it. In this collaboration, we focused on the design of the traditional technique "Hogushiori" in this area from the archive of Makita Shoten, arranged the design from the viewpoint of anecdotes, and worked on the thread dyed jacquard which is a specialty of Makita Shoten.
