This is a delicate necklace, intricately strung with antique Tibetan turquoise, blue chevron beads, amber and turquoise blue white hearts, and Karen silver. The antique Tibetan turquoise beads are approximately 100 to 200 years old, perhaps even older. They were acquired from a collector after traveling to Tibet. Turquoise is often referred to as a "Fallen Skystone" and has been revered as a protective amulet and sacred stone across various cultures since ancient times. In Tibet, it has even been used medicinally. It is one of the stones that has been passed down and worn for millennia. These are natural turquoise, without any coatings. The beads, though small, feature striking stripe patterns that lend them a captivating character. (Turquoise bead dimensions: 0.8cm width, 0.7cm height, 0.5cm depth) The blue beads are antique Venetian chevron beads, characterized by their distinct layered structure. The term "chevron" refers to their "mountain-like" or arrow-like pattern. Often called the "aristocrats of beads," they are highly prized and hold significant meaning. The amber and turquoise blue beads are known as "white hearts" due to their white core. Antique white hearts from the 19th and 20th centuries are becoming exceptionally rare. This particular turquoise blue shade is exceedingly scarce! Furthermore, these beads are an even rarer variety featuring intricate stripe patterns. The tubular beads and small Karen silver beads are each individually stamped with meticulous detail. It's quite humbling to imagine the dedication involved in this handcrafted artistry.
