LOMO plant, Leningrad city, 1979 SOVIET AUTOMATIC LOMO SOKOL-2 35mm RANGEFINDER CAMERA with INDUSTAR-70 50mm F2.8 LENS ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) SOKOL-2 camera produced in USSR in 1978-1986 at famous LOMO plant, which mostly issued simple Smena cameras. But ideas to create modern camera with automatic exposition (like Kodak or Yashika, for example) were popular and this camera was based at previous SOKOL camera. ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT+ The camera looks very accurately used before, it is in fine working and fine condition cosmetically... just examine item's photos to appreciate it, please. The RF/VF is clear and sharp. The lens is clear and will bring nice images to you. Aperture & focusing are smooth. All shutter/exposure modes looks correct. All functions are available. PLEASE BE CAREFUL that any changes between modes, shutter speeds and apertures should be with COCKED SHUTTER only! TECHNICAL FEATURES * Brand: LOMO. * Frame size: 24x36mm * Film type: usual 135 type film cassettes are applicable. * Shutter speeds: B, 1/30-1/500, synchronization with flash at any shutter speed. * Lens: Camera equipped with coated lens "Industar-70", it is a very sharp Soviet lens and it is a copy of famous Zeiss Tessar. Focal Length = 50mm, aperture from 2.8 to 16 (with f-stop clicks). * Film speeds: 16-250 and ASA (with clicks). You can use any other films with similar sensitivity, for example 200 or 400 ASA. Modern negative films will provide very good quality in that case. * Auto mode provides enough smooth film exposing (when it works). Aperture and shutter speed combinations are visible inside the viewfinder. PLEASE BE CAREFUL that any changes between modes, shutter speeds and apertures should be with COCKED SHUTTER only! * Power source is RZ-53 cells (very uncommon now), which can be changed to modern 625 size cell. * Focusing from 0.8 m to infinity according with rangefinder or scale of distances (in meters and foots). * Viewfinder with parallax correction moving frame. * Filter mount: 55x0.75 mm. * Tripod mount: standard groove 1/4 inch. * The camera was manufactured in the USSR in 1979.
