The nib is a German Bock #180 (#5) small rose gold steel nib, handcrafted and adjusted by Laoshanyang artisans into a calligraphy nib. Hand-ground and adjusted calligraphy nib: 1. For calligraphy nibs, it is recommended to first dip the nib in ink to write (do not remove the converter installed in the barrel to prevent ink backflow into the pen body after writing). After a period of use, then use the converter to fill with ink for writing. 2. The calligraphy nib is an EF nib ground and adjusted to have a curved tip. Line thickness is not solely determined by pressure, but by the writing angle. Utilize the curvature of the nib's tip to achieve varying line widths. When holding the pen upright, the contact area with the paper is small, resulting in finer lines. As the pen is held at a more oblique angle or with slight pressure, the contact area with the paper increases, producing thicker lines. The ability to write both thick and thin lines depends on your proficiency (each nib has a certain pressure tolerance; avoid excessive force to prevent nib damage or misalignment.
