Since its redevelopment in 1987, Ngwenya Glass is not only an inspiring success story, but also a conservationist's dream. Their products are all handcrafted from recycled glass, mostly from soft drink bottles collected across Swaziland. Ngwenya Glass not only encourages residents of Swaziland to collect these bottles, but also works with local schools to teach children environmental awareness. Students participate in roadside cleanups in exchange for building materials and football team sponsorship. Ngwenya Glass is the only glassblowing factory in Africa, established in 1979.
