The outer material and lining are made of Yoruba indigo dye (Adile). Adile is a traditional indigo dye made by women in Abiokuta Village, Nigeria. From the traces of fine needle holes, you can see that very fine work was done in the tie-dyeing process in order to create a pattern. The lining is Banshu-ori, a traditional yarn-dyed fabric from Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
