This is the meaning behind our name. We create everyday tools using metal. Our goal is to create items that can be used for a long time and become cherished. Each piece is handmade, making it one-of-a-kind and a lifelong treasure. We create items that are always present in your daily life, yet feel just a little bit special. We design and forge our products with the same care as preparing a daily meal – crafting is not a special act, but a part of living. [Tsuki no Utsuwa (Moon Vessel)] This is one of WATO's tableware series. We develop motifs of the moon through materials, colors, and finishes, such as the golden hue of brass for the full moon and the black-dyed pure copper for the new moon. This is a small plate, about 15cm (5 sun) in diameter, made by cutting brass sheet and hammering it to create a sparkling hammered texture. It adds a touch of color to your table with small appetizers or sweets. The hammered pattern enhances the appeal of your dishes. Size: Approximately 15cm. Weight: Approximately 155g. It makes a lovely gift as a pair of plates. It will add a festive touch to your table for small parties or gatherings. How about for Christmas, New Year's, celebrations, or the party season? Custom orders are available to change the hammered pattern. We also offer a flat plate type. *You can create your own plate with your preferred hammered pattern/shape (shallow type) at our workshop. Brass and copper have excellent thermal conductivity and antibacterial properties. For daily use, simply wash with a neutral detergent. After washing, wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth. The deepening color and patina over time add to their charm. Leaving acidic or alkaline substances like soy sauce, sauces, or salt on the surface will cause discoloration. If you wish to restore their original shine, gently polish them with baking soda or toothpaste.
