Textile Goshuincho - Lotus

A Goshuincho (temple/shrine stamp book) featuring Ki-Yan Studio's original textile on the cover. As the pattern placement varies slightly from one piece to another, each Goshuincho is a unique, one-of-a-kind design. *As we use textiles specifically designed for accessories, the variations will not be drastically different. Please understand that we cannot accept requests for specific pattern placements. This is a dedicated book for collecting Goshuin (vermilion stamps), which can be received as proof of visiting a shrine or temple. Traditionally, Goshuin consist of a vermilion stamp featuring a motif related to the deity or history of the place, along with the name of the main deity or shrine/temple written in black ink. However, designs vary greatly from one place to another, and nowadays, many unique and individualistic Goshuin can be found. In Kyoto, you can even collect Goshuin at the Yamaboko floats during the Gion Festival. More than just simple stamps, a Goshuincho filled with Goshuin collected with respect for the deities and Buddhas, much like amulets or charms, becomes a delightful reminder of your travels just by looking through it, as well as a cherished and sacred item.
