**Created in collaboration with Yuji Mori of “Dakafe Diary”**
This small 13 cm cubic speaker was co-developed with Mr. Yuji Mori, known for “Dakafe Diary,” who has also handled the art direction for DENTO’s pamphlets. It’s the second model in the “SPRING SUMMER FALL WINTER AUDIO” series, combining the precision craftsmanship and frame-making expertise unique to our workshop.
**Rich natural texture from solid wood**
Made entirely of solid wood, this speaker not only functions as audio equipment but also enhances your space as a beautiful interior object. Though compact, it produces a natural resonance and warmth inherent to wood. To operate, an amplifier or player is required. Recommended devices and connection methods will be introduced on our blog.
**“If such a vintage speaker existed...”**
This classical-style small speaker was born from the thought, “If such a vintage speaker existed, I wouldn’t be able to resist wanting it.” Inspired by string instruments, the entire structure is crafted from solid wood to achieve rich resonance. To prioritize the wood’s natural tone, the internal sound-absorbing material is minimized.
Finished with natural oil, the wood will gradually develop a richer color over time.
The bass reflex structure provides smooth, balanced sound—from warm mid-high tones to gentle, relaxed lows—achieving natural clarity within its compact size.
It’s perfect for quiet nighttime listening before bed (though it can also deliver loud sound).
We’d be delighted if you could keep it on your desk or shelf for years—perhaps even 20.
— Yuji Mori / Dakafe Diary
**Prototypes developed through collaboration**
After numerous trials with Mr. Mori over a year, including adjustments to size and removable grills, the final form was achieved.
**Enjoy the beauty of aging wood**
Cherry wood deepens in color with time. The upper image shows the bright tone of newly finished cherry, while the lower image shows its deeper, richer hue after a year.
Walnut, on the other hand, changes little over time, maintaining its elegant, dark tone from the beginning.
**Maintenance**
Avoid placing near direct sunlight or heat sources. As it’s finished with natural oil, please apply maintenance oil (sold separately) once a year.
