The cowhide material is a "masterpiece from Japanese tanners," achieved by dyeing vegetable-tannedヌメ革 (nume leather) with dyes and then meticulously hand-applying wax to each piece for a unique finish. Initially, the surface may appear slightly whitish, but as you use it, the wax on the surface gradually seeps into the leather's core, developing a radiant sheen and a smooth, refined texture.
