Pearls: Properties / Organic, amorphous structure. Hardness / 2.5-4.5.
Caution / Avoid sun exposure and sea salt for purification, as they can accelerate aging. Fumigation may dye pearls. Geode degaussing might damage the pearl surface. Pearls are relatively soft, easily becoming dull and cloudy, so handle with care.
Pearl luster is formed by overlapping aragonite crystals and the nacreous layer. Colors vary depending on the mollusk and water quality. Irregular distribution of nacre can create spots. The primary component is calcium carbonate, containing small amounts of water and conchiolin. Stimulated by foreign objects, the mother-of-pearl generates layers that encapsulate the irritant, gradually forming lustrous pearls over time. They are classified as saltwater, freshwater, natural, or cultured, with cultured pearls being more common today.
Hematite: Properties / Trigonal crystalline. Hardness / 5-6.5. Caution / Avoid sun exposure and running water for purification, as they may cause rusting.
Hematite is found on every continent and can form diverse crystals, including tabular, massive, and powdery forms, displaying an opaque, metallic, mirror-like luster. Its overall color ranges from black to silver-gray and dark gray. The English name "HEMATITE" originates from the Greek word "HALIMA," meaning blood, due to its high iron content, reaching up to seventy percent, the highest refractive index among all minerals. Its primary component is iron(III) oxide. Besides being a source of iron, hematite is also used as a pigment for ceramics and other materials, with its color derived from the iron oxides within, giving it red tones.
Fire Agate / Obsidian: Properties / Amorphous. Hardness / 5-5.5.
Obsidian has a smooth and delicate surface with rich colors. Due to its formation process and abundant minerals, it exhibits diverse coloration. Examples include obsidian with snowflake-like patterns on its surface, multi-colored rainbow obsidian, and red obsidian containing iron oxides, as well as gold sheen obsidian. Also known as obsidian rock or volcanic glass, it forms from the rapid cooling and solidification of volcanic lava and magma. It is primarily found near volcanic and seismic zones. The formation and cooling process of lava leads to subtle variations in color, producing iridescent effects from different angles, such as gold or gray.

♦ The brass used by Slow Temperature is eco-friendly brass that meets EU testing standards (extremely low lead content), ensuring high quality, resistance to oxidation, and reduced allergy potential.
▹ The degree of antioxidant effect varies depending on individual body constitution (pH levels). For individuals with normal body constitution, slight oxidation may occur after approximately one to two years of wear. In case of minor oxidation, the luster can be restored by polishing with a silver polishing cloth or toothpaste.
▹ It is safe to wear when exposed to water (including seawater). However, it is advisable to avoid contact with chemical products such as perfumes and alkaline cleaning agents as much as possible.

♦ All crystals used by Slow Temperature are natural. However, our creative process is not limited to this, and we utilize other suitable processed materials to realize our designs.
Some natural crystals may undergo high-temperature heating or coloring to enhance their vibrancy, such as blue chalcedony. Others are man-made, like red/blue/green aventurine (all aventurine on the market is artificial). If synthetic or processed materials are used, they will be clearly indicated on the product page and can also be found in the detailed crystal descriptions. The scarcity of materials and the complexity of processing will be reflected in the product pricing.
When choosing a style, we recommend selecting the one that most appeals to your eye or that you simply like, rather than focusing solely on the purported magnetic fields or energies of the crystals. This approach ensures the product resonates most harmoniously with you.
