Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a popular jewelry material, known for its affordability and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize. Moisture from rain and sweat, as well as exposure to air, can darken its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, here are a few tips to maintain its original luster: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a zipper bag when not being worn. If the luster appears dull, a few simple methods can quickly restore your item's radiance. Please note that while color can be restored if worn, the original shine may not be fully recovered (though the vintage matte brass finish is also beautiful!). ♦ Gently brush with a toothbrush dipped in a foaming toothpaste or tooth powder, similar to brushing teeth, to restore shine. Ensure to dry thoroughly afterward. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth for a quick shine (not suitable for brushed surfaces). ♦ Dilute lemon juice, soak the brass item for about 5 minutes, and it will quickly regain its luster (not suitable for acid-sensitive natural stones like pearls).
